On August 29, 2007 the County Commissioners upon recommendation of the Belmont County Animal Rescue League increased the fee for a 2008 dog and kennel license. The increase is effective December 1, 2007 when the 2008 dog licenses go on sale.

The 2008 fees:

• $12 – For a dog license
• $60 – For a kennel license ( 5 or more dogs)

After January 31, 2008 a late filing fee of $12 per dog license and $60 per kennel license will be added to the cost of the license.

Please note that all monies collected from the sale of dog and kennel licenses are used solely for the operation of the dog shelter and related expenses.
