On August 17, 2001, the County Commissioners upon recommendation of the Belmont County Rescue League increased the fee for the 2002 dog and kennel license. The increase is effective December 1, 2001, when 2002 dog licenses go on sale.

The 2002 fee is:

$10 for a Dog License
$50 for a Kennel License (five or more dogs)

After January 31, 2002, a late filing fee of $10 per dog license or $50 for a kennel license will be added to the cost of the license.

Please note that all monies collected from the sale of dog licenses are used solely for the operation of the dog shelter and related expenses.
